North Yorkshire Police

Tadcaster Police Station is at Station Road, Tadcaster, LS24 9JR.  It is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 12.30pm (though opening times may be subject to change at short notice).

North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service

Tadcaster Fire Station is at Station Road, Tadcaster, LS24 9JR.  It is a day crewed station, crewed from 8am to 6pm every day by firefighters who carry an alerter, and who are on call outside these hours.  The phone number is 01937 832223.

Yorkshire Ambulance Service

Free leaflets, including the Riverside Walk and a Walk around Tadcaster, are available from Tadcaster Town Council Office in Kirkgate, when open.  The office also holds a stock of tourist information leaflets.

Recycling and Waste Facilities

Fortnightly doorstep collection service
The District Council's fortnightly collection covers waste paper, cardboard, glass, cans, and some plastics. Contact their Recycling Helpline on 01757 292225 or by Email: recycling@selby.gov.uk.

Bulk Collection Service
The District Council also runs a bulk collection service for larger items of furniture and white goods. The cost of removal is £20 for up to five items, unless the resident is on income related benefit then it is free of charge. Three piece suites, a bed and mattress, and a table and set of chairs, are also classed as a single item. £32 is the cost of removal of a bathroom suite and fixtures and fittings. Tadcaster Recycling and Household Waste Centre
The Centre is located on the Station Road Industrial Estate. There are skips for household/garden waste recycling. The site is closed on Wednesdays. A birth or death can be registered at any Register Office but please make an appointment before attending. The nearest County Office is in Selby: Selby Register Office, Civic Centre, Doncaster Road, Selby YO8 9FT. Telephone 01609 780780.   A birth or death can also be registered at the York Register Office at 56 Bootham, York.
